Q1:

What art forms can I submit to the open call for artbox collectives Zine? Who is Artbox.Collective open to?

All forms of art expression are welcome to be submitted. So if you are a painter, filmmaker, poet, DJ, dancer, and musician (This list is not extensive). Please get in touch with us via info@artboxcollective.co.uk or through our submission form. If you need assistance submitting please get in touch via our Instagram

 

The collective invites all LGBTQIA+ individuals 16+ who would like to showcase their artwork with a wider community and connect with other creatives. We especially encourage individuals underrepresented in society such as individuals in the LGBTQIA + community who identify as neurodivergent, trans, POC, and individuals with disabilities or chronic illness. Our aim is to foster an inclusive environment where diverse artists and artwork can be celebrated

Q2:

When is the deadline for the first open call? When will the Zine be published and how? 

 

The deadline was the 30th of April 2025 at 11.59 pm. The April open call is now closed, but if you would like to submit something for a future zine, please use the submission form or keep an eye on our Instagram for more information about our next open call. All forms of art expression are welcome to be submitted. So if you are a painter, filmmaker, poet, DJ, dancer, and musician (This list is not extensive). Please get in touch with us via info@artboxcollective.co.uk or through our submission form. If you need assistance submitting, please get in touch via our Instagram. The zine will be available on 17th May 2025 to download (free/pay what you can) or purchase a limited edition physical copy (£12). All profits will go to the charity Operation Olive Branch (OOB - @operationolivebranch). OOB is a humanitarian initiative focused on providing aid and support to individuals affected by conflict and crisis. All links will be available on the day of release via the website and our Instagram (link in Bio). 

Q3:

Do the artists submit any financial compensation?

Unfortunately at the moment, we can not offer any financial compensation to artists that submit their artwork. This is a self-funded non-profit but as we grow we will endeavour to making financial compensation a priority. 

Q4:

​What are the values of the Artbox.Collective? When will be the first meet-up? 

​

Our values are creativity, community, respect, and accountability. â€‹We have a zero-tolerance policy for any discrimination, harassment, and prejudice. 

We are working on bringing you monthly meetings at the end of the month starting in May 2025. In a safe, accessible and inclusive space (TBC). Please see our Instagram for updates.
